The appraisers that have continuously adapted to new technology have been the ones able to consistently satisfy their customers with more accurate reports, better customer service and faster turnaround times.

Innovating the Ordering Experience

Years ago, a great deal of orders were delivered via fax and were confirmed with phone calls once we arrived at the office. It might be hours before a client even knew if we could do the order. Things are quite a bit different now and when an order is placed on the site, we receive a text message on our phones. We can even log into this site from the field and send back an e-mail confirmation – including the time and date for the inspection if we've been able to talk to the occupant.

When you order from A. M. Appraisals you can expect us to be concerned about your deadlines. We don't make you wait around for replies because we understand the speed at which we get things done directly effects your bottom-line. This website has proven to reduce cycle time for us and our clients by enhancing our communications.

A. M. Appraisals believes in working smarter

Gathering the data for an appraisal is an intensive process. We spend a great deal of time gathering the facts on the subject property and the local market data and trends. Once again, technology has stepped in to help A. M. Appraisals.

We've learned that taking notes the standard way, using pencil and paper, generally takes longer since we we have to enter everything back in at the office. Don't be surprised to see us with a tablet PC or collecting data using an app developed for our phones that even lets us sketch a floorplan right on site. Rather than using that clumsy outdated tape measure, we're seeing that more appraisers are adopting laser measuring devices that are quicker, more accurate, and can get into places that normal tape measures have always had problems with.

Using this technology allows us to ensure that your report is accurate, requiring fewer call-backs and revisions. A real money saver for busy appraisal clients.

Modern appraisal report delivery ensures our clients have a number of ways to get their report

Delivery of appraisals as PDF files through e-mail is definitely the standard these days. Most of our clients prefer e-mail because we're all accustomed to getting attachments like PDFs in our mail. It's a lot faster than the old days before e-mail. But, we've even been able to improve on e-mail with how you receive your report with this website.

Everyone knows how frustrating it is to lose a file. Or have you ever had an attachment blocked because it was too big? We have the technology to overcome those problems, too.  When we deliver an appraisal through this website, the client is e-mailed a download link to retrieve the PDF. So, at that point, it doesn't matter if all the extra photos and maps in the report result in a large file that would normally be blocked by e-mail. And the download link is good for 90 days. So if anything happens to the file, you can log back in here and retrieve it again without even calling us or waiting for us to get to a computer so we can send it again.

Digital Workfile Technology

It would be great if appraisers could complete an assignment, give it to the client and never worry about revisiting that document again. However, appraisals are used to document the condition of a property on the inspection date. Therefore, appraisers must keep their reports for 5 years, allowing them to recall any appraisal at any time to either defend the valuation or to be used in other legal proceedings.

To sum it all up, A. M. Appraisals leverages our embracing of technology to improve service. By storing every aspect of the appraisal - notes, sketches, supporting documentation and calculations - along with the appraisal electronically, we can pull up the entire file whenever it's needed and recall just what that report was about.

We just wanted to give you a little bit of insight into how we use our technology daily. Utilizing the right tools, along with the appraisal know-how that you've grown to expect allows the appraiser to collect the appraisal data to finish the report faster and more accurately than previously possible.
