A. M. Appraisals is second to none when it comes to technology

We're just going to come right out and admit something: We are technology junkies. From smart phones, to laptops, GPS, you name it. Call us geeks. Call us nerds. Call us what you will, but by all means, call us at (803) 739-2176 for appraisal orders in Lexington County! Why? We're glad you asked.

If you asked a typical group of appraisers, most would agree that appraising is more complicated than it used to be. We put quality first, but we know that turnaround time is critical since nobody likes to wait for results. Therefore, we've simply optimized our routine processes to do more in less time. The appraisers that have always adapted to new technology have been the ones able to consistently satisfy their customers with more accurate reports, better customer service and faster turnaround times.

Let A. M. Appraisals show you how we innovate ordering appraisals

Way back when, most of our orders arrived via fax and were confirmed with phone calls once we got back into the office. Often, in this scenario, it might of taken quite a while to hear back to see if the order could be taken. Things are quite a bit different now and when an order is placed on the site, we receive a text message on our phones. We can even log into this site from the field and send back an e-mail confirmation – including the time and date for the inspection if we've been able to talk to the occupant.

When you order from A. M. Appraisals you can expect us to be concerned about your deadlines. We don't make you wait around for replies because we understand the speed at which we get things done directly effects your bottom-line. Through features on this website, we can actually reduce the amount of time needed for your appraisal.

A. M. Appraisals believes in working smarter

Gathering the data for an appraisal is an in-depth process. We spend a great deal of time obtaining the facts on the subject property and the local market data and trends. Once again, technology has stepped in to help A. M. Appraisals.

Instead of using paper forms and pencils and then re-keying all the information back at the office, don't be surprised to see us with a tablet PC or collecting data using an application created for our phones that even lets us sketch a floorplan right on the spot. And instead of using an old tape measure, we're seeing that more appraisers are adopting laser measuring devices that are quicker, more accurate, and can get into places that normal tape measures have always had problems with.

All of this technology ensures that the final report is as comprehensive and without error as possible, requiring fewer call-backs and revisions. A real money saver for busy appraisal clients.

Here at A. M. Appraisals we want you to know you have more ways to receive your report.

At a very minimum, you can expect us to deliver your final report electronically as a PDF. Most of our clients prefer e-mail because we're all accustomed to getting attachments like PDFs in our mail. It's much more efficient than the old days before e-mail. But, we've even been able to improve on e-mail with how you receive your report with this website.

Ever lost a file that was sent to you? Or have you ever had an attachment blocked because of the file size? We have the technology to overcome those problems, too.  Whenever we send an appraisal, the client gets a link sent to their email to retrieve the PDF. By bypassing email completely we can get around any problems caused by file size. And the best thing is that the file will be hosted on this site for 90 days. So if anything happens to the file, you can log back in here and retrieve it again - saving you time, since we won't even need to run back to the computer.

Digital Workfile Technology

It would be great if appraisers could never have to think about an assignment again after writing and giving it to the client. However, appraisals are used to show the condition of a property on the inspection date. Therefore, appraisers are required by law to keep their reports for 5 years, allowing them to recall any appraisal at any time to either defend the valuation or to be used in other legal proceedings.

To sum it all up, A. M. Appraisals leverages our investment in technology to improve service. By storing every aspect of the appraisal - notes, sketches, supporting documentation and calculations - along with the appraisal electronically, we can pull up the entire file whenever it's needed and recall exactly what that report was about.

We just wanted to give you a little bit of insight into how we use our technology daily. Utilizing the right software, services, gadgets and gizmos allows the appraiser to collect the appraisal data to finish the report faster and more accurately than previously possible.
